What changed

Office Timeline and Timeneye are now part of Lucen Software™

Why we rebranded: This change marks our evolution into a broader, multi-product suite designed to make complex work easier to understand within Microsoft applications. Organizations have more tools than ever to manage work, but making that work clear is still a challenge. Lucen is built to solve that.

As part of the May 2026 rebrand, all existing products were renamed under the Lucen brand, and two new products were introduced. The table below shows the old and new names, and what each product does.

Frequently asked questions about the Office Timeline to Lucen Software rebrand

Why did Office Timeline change its name to Lucen Software?

Office Timeline changed its name to Lucen Software in May 2026 to reflect the company's evolution from a single PowerPoint timeline product into a multi-product Microsoft-native clarity platform. The Office Timeline name described one product, but the company now offers four: Lucen Timeline, Lucen Track, Lucen Plan, and Lucen Flowchart. The new name, Lucen, comes from the Latin root for light and clarity, the consistent purpose across every product.

Is Lucen Timeline the same product as Office Timeline?

Yes. Lucen Timeline is the new name for Office Timeline. The product, your subscription, your saved timelines, the install on your machine, and the team behind it are all unchanged. The May 2026 rebrand was a name and logo update only.

Is Lucen Track the same product as Timeneye?

Yes. Lucen Track is the new name for Timeneye, the time-tracking software Lucen acquired in 2025. The product, existing accounts, tracked time data, integrations, and pricing all carry over unchanged.

Will my existing Office Timeline or Timeneye subscription still work?

Yes. All existing Office Timeline subscriptions continue as Lucen Timeline subscriptions, and all existing Timeneye subscriptions continue as Lucen Track subscriptions. No action is required. Billing, license seats, and renewal dates are unchanged.

Do I need to reinstall Office Timeline?

No. Existing Office Timeline installations update automatically through normal update cycles to display the new Lucen Timeline branding. Your existing timelines, templates, and settings remain in place. If your organization manages software updates centrally, check with your IT administrator before installing manually.

When did Office Timeline become Lucen Software?

Office Timeline officially rebranded to Lucen Software on May 12, 2026. The full announcement is available on the Lucen blog.

What are Lucen Plan and Lucen Flowchart?

Lucen Plan and Lucen Flowchart are two new products launched alongside the rebrand. Lucen Plan is an Excel-native planning and work management tool for defining tasks, managing dependencies, and building project plans. Lucen Flowchart is a PowerPoint-native diagramming tool for creating flowcharts, process diagrams, and visual frameworks. Both are currently in beta, with broader availability expected in 2H 2026.

What is a "Microsoft-native clarity platform"?

A Microsoft-native clarity platform is a software layer that works inside Microsoft 365 applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and others) to turn complex work data into clear, executive-ready insight. Unlike project management tools, which focus on doing the work, a clarity platform focuses on communicating it. Lucen sits alongside the tools teams already use, transforming their output into visuals, timelines, and plans that leadership can quickly understand and act on.

Is the company still based in Austin, Texas?

Yes. Lucen Software is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with the same leadership team that ran Office Timeline. The rebrand did not involve a relocation, acquisition by another company, or change in ownership.

Will the old officetimeline.com URLs still work?

Yes. URLs from the previous officetimeline.com domain redirect to the corresponding pages on lucensoftware.com. Existing bookmarks, links in your documents, and saved login pages continue to work. The officetimeline.com domain remains under Lucen's ownership.

Has pricing changed as part of the rebrand?

No. Lucen Timeline and Lucen Track pricing tiers, features, and seat counts are identical to what they were under the Office Timeline and Timeneye names. The rebrand did not include any pricing changes.

How do I contact Lucen support?

Lucen Timeline support is available at timeline-support@lucensoftware.com. Lucen Track support is at track-support@lucensoftware.com. The support team is the same team that supported you before the rebrand. For general inquiries, visit lucensoftware.com/contact.
