Harvest vs Toggl
Harvest is the tracker built around invoicing. Toggl is the easy-to-use timer that now adds capacity planning. If your team spends the day in Microsoft Teams and Outlook, there's a third option worth a look: Lucen Track logs time inside the Microsoft 365 apps you already use.

Which one fits how your team works?
Pick Harvest if invoicing is the job. Invoices and online payments are on every plan, including the free one, and it connects to QuickBooks, Xero and Stripe.
Pick Toggl if you want a polished timer with planning built in. Timeline views and time off come on Starter, and profitability reports and approvals on Premium.
Track is for teams whose work already runs through Microsoft 365. People log time in Teams, meetings come in from Outlook and tasks come in from Planner and Azure DevOps, so timesheets get filled in without anyone having to remember.

When the time tracker lives in a different tab from the work
Harvest and Toggl are both good trackers. These are the gaps Microsoft 365 teams tell us about.
Fewer hours go missing when people log where they work
Harvest and Toggl both expect people to open another app to log time. In Track, people log from Teams, and Outlook meetings and Planner tasks show up as suggested entries.
Your time data in the Power BI dashboards you already share
If leadership reports in Power BI, Harvest and Toggl leave you exporting CSVs. Track's Power BI connector feeds live data into the dashboards you already share in Teams.
Single sign-on from day one, on every plan
Single sign-on costs extra at both: it's on Harvest Enterprise at $14 and Toggl Premium at $16. Every Track plan signs in with Microsoft Entra ID, so IT can roll it out to the whole team on day one.

What our customers say
Common questions
Harvest wins on invoicing and Toggl wins on planning, but both ask people to open a separate app to log time. Pick Harvest if billing clients is the main job, since invoices and Stripe payments are on every plan. Pick Toggl if you want timeline views, time off and capacity planning next to your timer. For teams that work in Microsoft Teams and Outlook, Lucen Track is often a better fit than either: people log time inside Teams, Outlook meetings and Planner tasks become time entries, and every plan includes single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID.
Harvest suits freelancers and small firms that bill clients by the hour, because invoicing and online payments come on every plan, including Free. Toggl suits growing teams that want planning next to their timer, with timeline views and time off on Starter and capacity planning as an add-on. If your small team already works in Microsoft 365, Lucen Track's free plan covers two users with the Teams app and single sign-on included, and paid plans start at $7 per user.
Lucen Track is built for teams that work in Microsoft 365. People log time from Microsoft Teams, Outlook meetings and Planner tasks show up as suggested entries, and a Power BI connector feeds live data into the reports leadership already uses. Professional services firms, agencies and consultants use it to bill and report on time without chasing timesheets. Plans start at $7 per user per month, billed annually, with a free plan for two users.
They start at the same price. Harvest Teams and Toggl Starter both cost $9 per user per month, billed annually, but Harvest bills extra invoices, projects, clients and tasks on usage, and Toggl charges for time off approvals and capacity planning as add-ons. At the next tier, Harvest Enterprise is $14 and Toggl Premium is $16. Lucen Track starts at $7 for Starter and $13 for Premium, and includes Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on on every plan.
Both have limited free plans. Harvest Free covers one seat and two projects, and still includes invoicing. Toggl Free covers a limited number of users with timers and calendar integrations. Lucen Track's free plan covers two users and already includes the Microsoft Teams app and single sign-on, which Harvest and Toggl keep for paid plans. Paid trials run 30 days at Harvest and Toggl and 14 days at Track, with no credit card needed.
Harvest. Invoicing is on every Harvest plan, it collects payments through Stripe and connects to QuickBooks Online and Xero. The new Toggl doesn't create invoices: you export billable hours as CSV or PDF and build the invoice in another tool, and its QuickBooks and Xero integrations only work with the legacy Toggl Track. Lucen Track creates invoices from tracked time on its Starter plan, and because hours are logged from Teams, Outlook and Planner as the work happens, fewer billable hours go missing before the invoice goes out.
No. Neither Harvest nor Toggl lists a Microsoft Teams app among its integrations, and both stop at pulling in Outlook calendar events. Lucen Track has a native Teams app on every plan, turns Outlook meetings into time entries, and syncs Planner tasks and Azure DevOps work items. For teams that live in Microsoft 365, that's the biggest difference between the three.
Not directly. Neither Harvest nor Toggl has an official Power BI connector, so reporting in Power BI means exporting CSVs or using a third-party tool. Lucen Track has a Power BI connector with live data on its Premium plan, so time, budget and project data lands in the dashboards your team already shares in Teams.
Neither takes screenshots. Harvest doesn't track the apps you use, and Toggl's desktop app can record app and website activity that stays on your own computer. Lucen Track doesn't monitor people either: no screenshots, keystrokes or location. Instead, it fills timesheets from the work people already do in Teams, Outlook and Planner.
Yes. Export your projects and time entries to CSV from Harvest or Toggl and import them into Track. Our team helps with the move, larger teams can get a guided migration, and most teams are tracking time in Track within a day.
In September 2026, Toggl relaunched as the new Toggl, and Toggl Track became a legacy product that's still supported for existing users. Many Toggl Track integrations, including QuickBooks Online and Xero, don't work with the new Toggl, while Lucen Track connects natively to Teams, Outlook, Planner, Azure DevOps and Power BI.
